Maurice Turnor Gardner promotes Senior Associate, Hannah Blakey, to Counsel
Hannah Blakey
Head of Private Wealth, Fiona Poole, commented: “I am delighted to announce Hannah’s well deserved promotion to Counsel. Hannah has the perfect combination of technical excellence, pragmatism and first rate client care skills and will continue to lead MTG’s vulnerable client and elder law practice, for which such skills are invaluable.”
Whilst Hannah advises on a wide range of private client matters, including traditional tax and estate planning, Wills and probate and immigration issues, she is particularly adept at supporting elderly and vulnerable clients, focusing on the specific needs of such clients to ensure advice is expertly tailored. She represents clients in proceedings in the Court of Protection, including applications for Deputyships, with dedication, precision and understanding.
Hannah also has a flourishing charities practice, advising charities throughout their lifespan from registration onwards. In particular, she supports high net worth individuals on the options available to structure their philanthropic endeavours and charities with their ongoing administration, including day-to-day governance and grant-making matters. She has an excellent technical understanding combined with the ability to think practically to provide solutions for clients.
Hannah has been identified as a Key Lawyer in the Legal 500 guides for ‘Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate’ and ‘Charities’. She has also previously been included as one of ePrivateClient’s Top 35 under 35. Hannah joined MTG in March 2014 as the firm’s fifth trainee and qualified in March 2016.
